Artist

I try to take real-life images to a different place. I also try to take every day things and give them a new purpose or perspective. I usually only do work for other people. I like to take a person's vision and hand it to them. I rarely do work for my own pleasure ( my wife would throw it all out!) I like the challenge of pleasing someone besides myself.

Musician

I feel like my music is written within the context of a young man living and loving in the smallness of Kentucky. It seems to resinate with a wide audience and reflects the simple setting and southern sensibilities that so many of us were shaped by.

I'm more of a balladeer or a storyteller. I try to paint a picture or at least offer some imagery within my writing that is more than just a collection of words spread over a melody.
